Our Services
Seed Production
The company operates a 500-hectare farm in chisamba, a region well-suited for seed production due to its favourable Agro-climatic conditions. Blue Print Seed Company Ltd engages in birth in-house and out-grower seed production models, working closely with trained local farmers to ensure large-scale, quality-assured seed cultivation.
This is inclusive approach improves livelihoods while expanding production capacity.
Seed selection and Crop diversification
Through regular market analysis and stakeholder consultation, the Company identifies key crop varieties in demand. The selection process involves evaluating agro-ecological adaptability, resistance to pests and diseases, yield potential, and market value. The company focuses on Cereals and Legumes such as Maize, soyabeans, peal millet, sorghum, and other high-demand staples.
Seed Certification
All seed produced is certified under Zambia’s regulatory framework by the Seed Control and Certification Institute (SCCI), under Zambia Agricultural Research Institute (ZARI).
The certification process includes:
>Field inspections during crop growth.
>Laboratory testing for germination, purity, and moisture.
>Final approval and labeling as per SCCI standards.
This ensures that every seed bag sold is of the highest agronomic and commercial quality.
